👑 Meet the Founder

Hi y’all, I’m Samara

Founder of Bite Me Goodies • baker of dessert-style cake donuts • building the Goodieverse one donut, one Bestie at a time
Samara – Founder of Bite Me Goodies
🍩 Baked cake donuts • Dessert-forward flavors • Built from scratch

My name is Krystal Samara, though most of y'all know me as Samara. I used to go by my first name, but over time it didn't fit anymore. When I launced Bite Me Goodies is when I switched to Samara, the name became tied to the donuts, the lives, the recipes, and the little world we now call the Goodieverse. Some still call me Krystal, and that's still fine. I just prefer to be called Samara. Leaving the past behind creating a new future every day.

I grew up in Alvarado, Texas and today I’m building from Austin (Elgin), Texas. Life has taken me all across the South over the years, and I’ve baked in more kitchens than I can count. Every place added a little something to the way I create today.

Bite Me Goodies started the same way most good things do — in a kitchen, experimenting with flavors and refusing to believe cake donuts had to be boring. I wanted them to feel like real desserts. Big flavors, rich toppings, and combinations that make people stop after the first bite and say, “Wait… that’s a donut?”

When I started sharing those creations online, something unexpected happened. A community grew around the baking, the creativity, and the journey. Those supporters became known as the Bite Me Besties.

Somewhere along the way, they started calling me the Cake Donut Queen. I didn’t give myself that title, but I embraced it because it came from the people who believed in what I was building.

My journey hasn’t been perfect. Recovery has been part of my story too, and it taught me a lot about resilience, gratitude, and showing up again even when life knocks you down. I am very proud, and grateful to be sober.

Baking reminds me of that a lot. You mix, test, adjust, and sometimes start over. But if you keep going long enough, something beautiful comes out of the oven. That's what I am doing every day with this brand.

I truly believe in building things slowly and intentionally — one donut, one Bestie at a time. No pressure, just appreciation and muuuuuuch love. Just keep mixing, Bestie. Remember we can all be each others floaties. Hold each other up. Spread the sweetness and love with #BeAFloaty

🍩 How Bite Me Goodies Was Born

From Mom Life to the Cake Donut Queen

Bite Me Goodies didn’t start as some polished master plan. It started with Samara, a kitchen, a whole lot of experimenting, and more donuts than any one household reasonably needed.

In the beginning, this was just me making things, testing flavors, and trying to prove to myself that cake donuts didn’t have to be plain or forgettable. I wanted them to feel like real desserts — rich, playful, bold, and worth talking about.

Back then, I was just a mom in the kitchen with a little microbakery growing a collection of donuts, ideas, and “what if I tried this?” moments. One batch turned into another, then another, and before long I had more flavor concepts than I knew what to do with.

What changed everything was sharing the process in public. Once I started showing the bakes, the flavor experiments, and the real behind-the-scenes journey online, people connected with it. They weren’t just watching donuts get made — they were watching a whole brand world start to form in real time.

That growing community became the Bite Me Besties. They encouraged me, rooted for me, and helped shape the energy of what Bite Me Goodies would become. Somewhere along the way, they started calling me the Cake Donut Queen — and that’s the crown I’ve been building into ever since.

Now Bite Me Goodies is rooted in Austin (Elgin), Texas, but the heart of it is still the same: take something simple, make it memorable, and build something lasting one donut, one Bestie at a time.

✨ The Story Behind the Brand

The Woman Behind Bite Me Goodies

Before the title, before the lives, and before the Besties ever called me the Cake Donut Queen, I was just a girl who loved making something beautiful in the kitchen.

I grew up in Alvarado, Texas, and even as a little girl I was drawn to baking and making things feel special.

At 11 years old, I made a strawberry bundt cake at my Aunt Nancy’s house — decorated it myself, proud of every detail. She kept that photo on her fridge. That moment stuck.

At 16, I moved to Arkansas. At 17, I became a mom. My mom signed me up for cake decorating classes — and that turned into my first cake job.

By 19, I had two kids and was trying to build a life. I earned my degree, but I also experienced deep loss, hard choices, and addiction. My path wasn’t clean — it was real.

Getting sober changed everything. Bite Me Goodies was built from that rebuilding — learning to believe in myself again and choosing to create something meaningful.

That’s why my desserts are bold, layered, a little messy, and full of life. I don’t chase perfection — I create things that feel indulgent, real, and joyful.

I believe in building slowly and honestly — one donut, one Bestie at a time.

The Heart Behind Bite Me Goodies

Bite Me Goodies may have started with Samara, but it has never been just about one person. Family is a huge part of the heart behind this brand — and a big part of why the Goodieverse keeps going.

Samara with Robert, the kids, Brandon, and Uncle Joe

At the center of Samara’s life is her fiancé, Robert, along with her kids Lexi, CJ, and her youngest, Lulu. They’re the everyday reason, the steady ground, and the people who remind her what all of this is really for.

Her brother Brandon is a huge part of that story too. He’s been through one of the hardest seasons of his life, and watching him fight his way forward has changed all of them. Right now he’s on his way through recovery, and the family is holding on to deep hope and gratitude as they look ahead in full remission.

Uncle Joe holds a special place in Samara’s heart too, and having him in this picture means a lot. Family, here, has always been more than a title. It’s who shows up, who loves hard, and who stays.

Through Brandon’s journey especially, the Bite Me Besties have truly been floaties. The prayers, encouragement, check-ins, and love have carried this family in ways Samara will never forget. This community has felt like more than support — it has felt like family.

Goodieverse family storybook characters

And because this is the Goodieverse, of course the family has their storybook side too. In that world, Samara is the Cake Donut Queen, Robert is the Baked King, Brandon is the Hand of the Queen, and the kids chose their own character names: Joseph the Bite Knight, Alexandria the Astral Artisan, and sweet little Princess Bite Lulu.

That playful side matters because it reflects something real: behind the donuts, the lives, and the recipes is a family that loves each other, fights for each other, and keeps going together. That’s the heart behind Bite Me Goodies.

The Story Keeps Growing

✨ How the Goodieverse Began

The Goodieverse didn’t start as some big planned world. It started with baking, creativity, and a community that kept showing up.

As Bite Me Goodies grew online, the Bite Me Besties began calling me the Cake Donut Queen — and that sparked the Baked King, the Bite Knight, the Astral Artisan, and our little Princess Bite Lulu. All of us, plus Bite Me Goodies and the Bite Me Besties, created our Goodieverse.

What started as fun slowly turned into something bigger — a storybook reflection of our real lives. A small world built around dessert donuts, family, creativity, and a community that believes in lifting each other up.

I’m building more than a bakery. I’m building a community-powered Goodieverse where dessert donuts bring people together, creativity is celebrated, and we show up for each other through every season. #BeAFloaty

I share this journey as honestly as I can — the wins, the pauses, the growth, and everything in between. I’m a mom, a partner, a sister, a builder, and someone who just happens to be obsessed with turning cake into donuts.

If this space feels like home to you, stay awhile. Learn, bake, laugh, cheer people on, and build something with us. In the Goodieverse we believe sweet comes first, and in growing together, one donut, one Bestie at a time.

Welcome home to the Goodieverse, Bestie!
