Bite Me Goodies operates under the Texas Cottage Food Law, which allows small food businesses to prepare and sell specific types of homemade goods from a home kitchen without needing a commercial license or inspection. This law is designed to support local entrepreneurs while keeping consumers informed and safe.

• Products must be non-perishable and shelf-stable (e.g., baked goods, dry mixes).
• Items must be prepared in a home kitchen—no commercial facility use allowed.
• Sales must occur directly to the customer—either in-person or via direct delivery within Texas.
• Shipping is only permitted within the state of Texas.
• Labeling must include allergy disclosures, business name, and a cottage food statement.
• Annual gross sales must not exceed $100,000 (as of the latest law update).
